お雛様
昨日からお茶室の床飾りがお雛さんになりました。
この雛人形は、幕末から明治にかけて活躍した奈良一刀彫の名人、
森川杜園（1820－1894）の手になるものです。杜園は、正倉院宝物の模造も
手掛けた著名な彫刻家です。中央で供物をささげる官女のなんとふくよかなこと。
These are Hina dolls in the tea ceremony room of our museum.
Japanese display these dolls on Hinamatsuri Festival.
It is the day to pray for the healthy growth and happiness of young girls.
These dolls were made by famous sculptor, Toen MORIKAWA(1820-1894).
